Austen earned a BA in Psychology, a Master of Arts in Psychology, and a Specialists in Professional Counseling and Supervision from the University of West Georgia. He is a licensed professional counselor with experience working in community mental health and university counseling centers. Austen provides counseling services for individuals experiencing anxiety and stress, depression, trauma, loneliness, relationship issues and other distressing issues that interfere with living a full and meaningful life. He works with adolescents (12 & up) as well as adults of all ages.  As an ally and an advocate for those living in the surrounding West Georgia area, he is happy to provide counseling services to people of all backgrounds. 

Austen approaches counseling and psychotherapy with the basic understanding that all people are capable of change and transformation. With this in mind, he helps clients to create the life they want in a relaxing and understanding environment.
